in 1975, Matthew Pearl obtained the prestigious ‘Suma Cum Laud’ degree in
English and American literature from Harvard University in 1997. After that he
obtained higher degree in law from Yale University in 2000. He has been awarded
the prestigious ‘Dante Prize’ from the American ‘Dante Society’ in 1998 for his
writing and research. His first novel ‘The Dante Club’ with popularity also
established him as a significant writer. In 2013 Boston Magazine announced him
as the best author in that year.
